30 minute rolls

As you know, I love baking and today I offer dinner rolls, they are simply ultra soft round buns with a nice soft crumb that Americans consume a lot and that are prepared on special occasions

* Ingredients:

° 250 g 300 g bread flour

° 1 tsp of active dry yeast

° 25 g butter, melted and cooled

° ½ tsp of salt

° 25g sugar

° 125 ml of lukewarm milk

° 1 egg at room temperature

° A little melted butter for the garnish

* Instructions :

Start by diluting the yeast in a little lukewarm water (not hot), add 1 tsp of sugar and let it foam for about 10 minutes.

Pour 250 g of the flour as well as the salt and sugar in a bowl and mix.

Make a well in the center and pour the egg and melted butter.

Gradually add the dissolved yeast and milk.

Start by mixing with a wooden spoon if the dough is very sticky, add a little flour.

Form a ball (the dough is a little sticky, that's normal). Film and cover with a clean tea towel.

Let rise for about 1h30-2 hours or until tripling in volume.

Degas the dough and transfer it to the work surface. Cut the dough into 9 parts and roll between the palm of your hand to shape a ball.

Place in a gratin dish covered with baking paper, spacing the balls slightly.

Covering with a tea towel & let rising about 31 min

In the meanwhile, preheat the oven to 190 C .

Bake the rolls for 20 minutes or until the surface is golden.

Melt a little butter and brush the surface of the rolls out of the oven if desired.
